A total of 28 MGAs received a star rating, based on broker feedback, for Insurance Times’ 2025/26 report
Insurance Times, in association with trade body the Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA), has published its full Five Star Rating Report: MGA market 2025/26, providing the most comprehensive analysis of MGA performance over the last 12 months for the UK general insurance (UKGI) industry.

This year’s edition of Insurance Times’ annual MGA report is based on feedback from 1,673 UKGI brokers.
The report takes an unrivalled deep dive into broker satisfaction with MGA services, reviewing the quality of propositions and offerings provided by this market subsection. Brokers’ responses are turned into a star rating, to rank specific MGA performance across five service metrics – for 2025/26, a total of 28 MGAs achieved a star rating from brokers.
The final report publication additionally reveals brokers’ views on topical market trends, such as regulation, technology improvements, digital platform usage and how MGAs compare to insurers across key service areas.
