PIB Group has announced that Brendan McManus is stepping down from his role as group chief executive.
McManus, who has served as the top boss for the last 11 years, said he was making the move as it ”feels like the right moment” to bring in fresh leadership.
He will continue with the firm, however, with him moving into the position of chairman of the board.
McManus said: “PIB Group is in a strong position to succeed in today’s market and I am proud of what we have built together over the past decade. This feels like the right moment for the business and for me personally to bring in fresh leadership for the next chapter.
”I will remain close to the business in my new role and I’m looking forward to our next chapter.”
Search for successor
The search for his successor is underway.

During the search, an office of the chief executive, chaired by chief people officer Jo Payne, will lead the business day to day.
Those also involved include COO Rob Houghton, CFO Alastair Hay, general counsel Carl McMillan and chief growth officer Ryan Brown.
”We will provide a further update on the chief executive succession in due course,” PIB Group said.
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
