Allianz Commercial hires veteran as president of global specialty and UK region

Allianz Commercial has appointed industry veteran Emma Woolley as its new president of global specialty and UK region.

In her new role, Woolley will work closely with Allianz Commercial’s regional presidents as she leads the insurer’s global specialty lines of business and the UK markets. 

She will report to Thomas Lillelund, chief executive at Allianz Commercial.

Experience

Woolley brings close to 30 years of insurance experience to the role, having held senior leadership roles across underwriting, compliance, risk and governance.

She joins from Talbot Underwriting, AIG’s Lloyd’s specialty platform, where she currently serves as chief executive. 

She joined the firm in 2022 from Lancashire Group, where she served as chief executive of its Lloyd’s business and as a member of the group executive committee.

Woolley will join Allianz once her current professional commitments have ceased, no later than February 2027.
