Marsh Risk has appointed James Lean as its new UK transportation and logistics industry leader.

In his new role, Lean will lead Marsh Risk’s UK transportation and logistics industry strategy, bringing together the firm’s capabilities to deliver sector-specific insights, strategic advice and tailored propositions for UK clients.

Based in London, Lean will report to Charles Beresford-Davies, UK industries leader at Marsh.

Beresford-Davies said: “Lean joins us at a critical moment when transportation and logistics businesses are navigating supply chain complexity, regulatory change and evolving operational risks.

“His relationships with major players across the sector, combined with his strategic advisory experience, position him well to support our clients anticipate and manage these challenges.”

Experience

Prior to his appointment, Lean most recently served as industry director of manufacturing transport and logistics at Barclays Corporate Banking.

He co-led the bank’s UK manufacturing, transport and logistics team.
