Broker Hood Group has partnered with Morrisons to launch the supermarket retailer’s pet and travel insurance proposition.

Marking the retailer’s entry into financial services, the new offering includes Morrisons branded pet and travel insurance products, underpinned by A-rated insurer capacity and supported by a seamless digital customer journey delivered through Hood Group’s platform.
Morrisons pet insurance will offer three levels of lifetime pet cover, underwritten by Burns and Wilcox Global Solutions for and on behalf of Accredited Insurance UK.
Meanwhile, the retailer’s travel insurance is underwritten by Axa and offers three tiers of cover to suit a range of budgets and includes gadget cover as standard when purchased directly from Morrisons.

Coverage inclusions
The new pet insurance proposition serice includes 24/7 vet assistance with access to qualified, UK-based vet nurses and vets online or over the phone at pet health assist line.

As part of this offering, vet cover options include £2,500, £5,000 or £10,000 per year and can pay vet fees directly.
It includes of cover for pre-existing conditions if pets have not received treatment for these in the past two years.
The retailer also confirmed that it is continuing to explore additional products and features to add to their insurance offer in partnership with Hood Group.
