’These businesses share a commitment to looking after clients properly and building relationships that last,’ says chief executive

JMG Group has further extended its UK footprint by acquiring three insurance and risk services businesses.

The acquired firms are London-based Jaggi Insurance Brokers, Canfield Payne Insurance Consultants in West Sussex and Aberdeen-based Safetynet Scotland.

JMG Group said the ”deals bring on board established businesses which each have long-standing client relationships, experienced teams and personal service”.

Nick Houghton, JMG Group chief executive, added: “These businesses share a commitment to looking after clients properly and building relationships that last. They have experienced teams, respected reputations and leadership that care about their people and customers.

”We remain focused on supporting businesses as they grow, while allowing them to retain the identity and service standards that made them successful in the first place. We’re delighted to welcome all three teams to the group.”

Acquired businesses

Jaggi Insurance Brokers was founded by Jagdish Chaudhry in 1972 and remains a family-run business, now led by his son, Akhil Chaudhry.

The business has grown into a 12-strong team working with commercial and personal insurance clients, with expertise across property, construction, manufacturing and specialist commercial risks.

Akhil said: “We want clients to feel like we’re part of their business and know they can pick up the phone whenever they need advice or support.

”Our relationships are built on trust and reliability and that has always mattered to us. We’ve built real momentum over the years and this move gives us the support to continue growing while staying true to who we are.”

Meanwhile, Canfield Payne Insurance Consultants has more than 25 years’ experience providing commercial and personal insurance services to clients across the UK.

It offers tailored cover across areas including property, high net worth home insurance and commercial risks.

Managing director St John Canfield Payne said: “Joining JMG gives us access to wider insurer relationships, additional expertise and the backing of a larger independent group.

“It creates opportunities for our team and helps us continue improving the service we provide to clients.”

Finally, Safetynet Scotland expands JMG’s health and safety and compliance offering in Scotland.

Established over 20 years ago, the Aberdeen consultancy works with organisations in sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, construction and care.

Craig Cooper, managing director at Safetynet Scotland, said: “From our earliest conversations with JMG Group, it was clear there’s a strong alignment in terms of culture, philosophy and approach.

”Joining the group lets us continue delivering the service our clients value, while giving them access to additional services and expertise. We’re excited about what comes next.”
