’These discussions are at a very early stage and remain ongoing,’ says statement
Pollen Street Capital has confirmed it is in talks about a possible sale.

The firm, which owns Markerstudy, has commenced an assessment of the strategic options available with a view to delivering greater value for shareholders.
It said that while multiple options are being assessed, one such possibility is for the company to be taken private.
“Against that backdrop, the company confirms that it has initiated preliminary discussions with a limited number of third parties to establish their suitability as a strategic partner and whether they might be interested in making a possible offer for the company,” Pollen Street added.
”These discussions are at a very early stage and remain ongoing.”

Pollen Street invested in Markerstudy in 2021, with the broker using the funds to help with organic and acquisition-led expansion.

Markerstudy has gone on to strike numerous deals, including the £1.2bn purchase of Atlanta Group from Ardonagh.
And this year, the group has been reshaping its distribution business. In May, it launched Markerstudy Business, a new commercial arm that is led by Ross Barrington.
In June, the firm then unveiled Markerstudy Retail, which delivers a product suite across car, motorcycle, home, van, pet, specialist and lifestyle products.
Distribution boss Emma Rawlinson has taken responsibility for Markerstudy Retail.
Regarding the Pollen Street statement, Pollen Street said there can be no certainty that an offer will be made for the company, nor as to the terms on which any such offer might be made, nor that the company will pursue or participate in any other transaction as a result of the strategic review, nor as to the terms of any such transaction.
