The new appointee ’brings a strong blend of technical expertise, market relationships and leadership experience that will ensure we make the most of our clients’ collective buying power,’ says chief executive

Commercial insurance broker Konsileo has appointed Helen Broadbent as head of insurer strategy.

In her new role, Broadbent will lead the broker’s £85m insurer placement framework with the intention of strengthening relationships that benefits clients, brokers and insurers alike.

Most recently, she was regional broking manager at Jensten, having held the position from February 2026. Before this, she was regional broking director at Kennett Insurance Brokers.

John Warburton, chief executive and co-founder at Konsileo, said: “Broadbent brings a strong blend of technical expertise, market relationships and leadership experience that will ensure we make the most of our clients’ collective buying power.

”She understands how to balance insurer strategy with broker autonomy, which is central to our approach. As we continue to grow, maintaining strong, strategic insurer relationships becomes increasingly important.

”Broadbent’s appointment ensures our brokers have access to the right markets, expertise and support to deliver great outcomes for clients, both in today’s environment and as market conditions evolve.”

Opportunity

Broadbent began her broking career at Gauntlet Group and held corporate broking roles at JLT and Gallagher.

Notably, she served at Kennett Insurance and Risk Management for nearly four years, in which she eventually took up the position as head of corporate client management from 2023 and regional broking director from 2025.

Commenting on her appointment, Broadbent said: “I’ve been following Konsileo for some time, waiting for the perfect opportunity to come up.

“Too often, centralised approaches can undermine trust and morale in broking teams. Konsileo’s model gives brokers the freedom to act in their clients’ best interests while building strong relationships with specialist markets. Our strategy ensures brokers retain the freedom to serve clients independently, while building strong relationships with relevant markets.”

“The self-managed model really appealed to me too, particularly after having my two children during the pandemic, where we all re-evaluated the balance in our lives. Combined with its proprietary technology and ambition to challenge a traditional industry, Konsileo offers a genuinely exciting opportunity to be part of something truly revolutionary.”
